Chief of Staff & Executive Assistant
In my role as Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant at the House of Commons, I oversee a broad spectrum of duties critical to the Member's operations and organizational efficacy. This encompasses the meticulous management of the Member's constituency and Parliamentary calendar, alongside strategic oversight of budget planning and forecasting. Leading a dynamic team of eight, which includes interns and volunteers, I prioritize effective supervision and collaborative synergy to achieve our collective objectives. Additionally, I am entrusted with the strategic planning, coordination, and facilitation of parliamentary events tailored to engage stakeholders effectively, including content creation with ideas for MP's social platforms. Moreover, I am deeply committed to fostering a supportive and compliant work environment, diligently attending to the well-being, productivity, and regulatory adherence of our team. Through proactive measures such as regular meetings, mental health support initiatives, and thorough regulatory reviews, I endeavor to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and team cohesion.
Digital Marketing Campaigns
In my role as a Senior Social Media Specialist, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to infuse creativity, strategic thinking, and audience understanding into every campaign I undertake. Through crafting compelling content, revitalizing underutilized brands, and devising innovative marketing strategies, I've driven significant revenue growth, with an impressive 80% increase in revenue.
I've spearheaded numerous successful campaigns, including those centered around cultural celebrations like Spring Festival (Newroz), Ramadan, Christmas, and New Year. By tapping into the cultural zeitgeist and tailoring content to resonate with diverse audiences, I've effectively elevated brand visibility and engagement during these key moments.
As a digital creator, I place great emphasis on ensuring that advertising content not only meets business objectives but also champions inclusivity and diversity. By weaving these values into every piece of content I produce, I aim to foster connections with audiences from all walks of life, ultimately driving brand loyalty and affinity.
Pre-Production & Post-Production
As I sit down to reflect on my journey, I'm reminded of the myriad of experiences that have shaped my career in advocacy and production. It's been a thrilling ride, marked by moments of inspiration, challenges, and above all, the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
One aspect of my role that has truly resonated with me is the opportunity to be involved in the entire lifecycle of a project - from the initial brainstorming sessions in pre-production to the meticulous details of post-production. It's in these moments that I've been able to contribute my ideas and suggestions, particularly in integrating gender equality principles and combating child marriage.
But perhaps one of the most rewarding projects I've had the privilege to lead was the development and execution of an awareness campaign aimed at promoting the impactful activities of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund in Iraq. It was a labor of love, fueled by my passion for advocacy and my unwavering belief in the power of storytelling to effect change.
Of course, my journey wouldn't be complete without mentioning the production I worked on for Sulaymaniyah Governorate. It was an opportunity to immerse myself in the local community, to listen to their stories, and to amplify their voices through the power of film.
